The Other Worst-Case Scenario Survival Handbook

HOW TO ESCAPE FROM PRISON

Prisons vary widely in size and design. Some have a minimum of guards, little in the way of restraining walls, and only token barbed wire. Others have nearly as many guards as prisoners, several walls, barbed wire, razor wire, minefields, sharpshooters in towers, and are located on remote islands. Often, the prison you are assigned to (you do not usually get to pick one yourself) is dependent upon the crime you have actually committed which resulted in your incarceration. For instance, if you have stolen a car, (See "How To Break Into A Car") you might find yourself in a fairly lax prison. If you have robbed a bank at gunpoint (See "How To Rob A Bank") you could end up in a maximum security facility, especially if you actually shot someone while robbing the bank. If you do not know the details of the prison you are being sent to, ask around. Many police officers can be very forthcoming regarding this information.

You will need: A spoon, and a tremendous amount of free time....
