The Electoral Process

Choosing a party

In order to become President you must first choose a political party. This is not as easy as it sounds, and in fact many candidates have erred when taking this fairly simple step by deciding to start a party of their own.

If you do not know whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, take this simple test.

True or False:

1: Since major corporations generate an awful lot of income for this country already, there is no good reason for them to pay taxes.

2: There is no real need to protect the environment for future generations, since Jesus is coming soon anyway.

3: The National Rifle Association is the most important organization in this country.

3: Howard Stern is evil, and Rush Limbaugh is the greatest man alive.

5: If poor people wanted to eat, they would have decided not to be poor.

6: Education is not nearly as important as a really cool new plane for the air force.

7: Illegal drugs are the biggest threat to our country right now, but tobacco, alcohol and prescription drugs are perfectly O.K.

8: Since foreign countries are basically full of foreigners, it's best to just ignore them entirely.

9: Life starts at the moment two potential parents kiss for the first time.

10: Minorities should really not bother to vote.

11: Posting the Ten Commandments in schools is a rational solution to kids shooting each other.

How to score: If you answered False to all of the above, you are a Democrat. if you answered True to all or some of the above, you are a Republican. If you did not notice that there are two 3's and no 4, you are probably a Republican.
